Time available for Oral Presentations will be 20 minutes: 15 minutes for the presentation itself and 5 minutes for questions from the audience. Invited Lecturers and SIE Distinguished Lecturers will have slots of 40 minutes including questions. Italian will be the official language for the conference: English is allowed for presenters who do not speak Italian. The language of the slides is English. An LCD projector and a PC (Windows, MS PowerPoint & Adobe Acrobat Reader, with MS Teams) will be available in every session room for presentations.
Preparation of slides in Presence:
- PLEASE NOTE THAT SPEAKERS MUST EITHER BRING A PENDRIVE CONTAINING THEIR PRESENTATION FILE OR UPLOAD THEIR SLIDES IN PDF TO EASYCHAIR NO LATER THAN JULY 4, BY UPDATING THEIR PAPER SUBMISSION (i.e., by selecting their submission on EasyChair and clicking “Add or update files” on the top grey box).
Files can be uploaded to the local PCs in the lecture rooms during the breaks between the sessions. To avoid software compatibility problems, speakers are advised to EMBED ALL FONTS in their PowerPoint file AND bring a backup PDF-version of their presentation.
- Speakers must arrive in their session room 15 minutes BEFORE the start of their session to report to the chair persons. A technician will be at their disposal before each Session begins.
Preparation of slides online:
- Speakers must connect to their session on MS Teams 15 minutes BEFORE it begins to report to the chair persons on chat. They must be ready to do their online presentation by sharing the desktop. Webcam and microphone should be turned on during all presentation time.
Offline Video Presentations
Authors are required to prepare and upload to EasyChair a video, comprising a brief introduction with webcam (if desired), followed by voice over the presentation slides. The language of the slides is English. To increase the visibility and impact of the video, presenters are advised to speak English; Italian is anyway allowed.
The file must be a video file in MP4 format (more details below). Authors can also upload to EasyChair a PDF with their slides in addition to the MP4 video. It is not allowed to submit a PDF or PowerPoint in place of an MP4 video file.
The video file and the PDF file with the slides shall be uploaded to EasyChair by updating the files of your submission (i.e., by selecting your submission on EasyChair and clicking “Add or update files” in the top grey box).
The recommended approach to record a compatible video (from content displayed on your computer screen, and voice recorded via the computer microphone) is to record the presentation using Zoom, available to users on most platforms and in most countries.

In order for videos to be verified by the technical program committee, there is considerable urgency in preparing and uploading the video. Accordingly, we ask you to please finalize your video no later than 27 June 2021. This is a HARD DEADLINE. Presentations will not be accepted after this date.
